Toby Keith passed away early in February 2024, and ever since, country music fans have mourned his loss. Keith was regarded as a true legend in the genre, and nonstop streams of many of his most popular tunes have helped the superstar posthumously hold on to a handful of Billboard charts, week after week after week.

This frame, the late singer-songwriter makes a home on only two tallies, and he does so with the same collection. In a bit of coincidence, Keith reaches very special – but very different – milestones on both rosters with what has turned out to be one of the most important projects in his discography.

Toby Keith’s Albums Hits Five Years on the Billboard 200

35 Biggest Hits celebrates 260 weeks on the Billboard 200 this frame. That works out to exactly five full years as one of the most-consumed albums and EPs of any style in the United States. As it reaches that milestone, the compilation slips only five spaces, dipping from No. 54 to No. 59.

Toby Keith’s 35 Biggest Hits Had an Unusual Journey

35 Biggest Hits experienced an unusual journey on the Billboard 200, where it has become one of the singer’s most successful releases. The compilation debuted on the ranking in May 2008, but it did not reach No. 1 until February 2024, following Keith’s passing. The renewed interest in his catalog pushed the decades-old collection all the way to the summit, where it became his fifth career leader.

Now, years after it first launched on the competitive roster, 35 Biggest Hits becomes Keith’s first project to spend 260 weeks on the tally.

Toby Keith Claims Several Long-Charting Albums

35 Biggest Hits is one of several Keith collections to rack up triple-digit frames on the Billboard 200. Unleashed spent 104 weeks on the ranking, while Greatest Hits 2 managed 106. Several additional Keith projects have also held on for at least a full year.

Toby Keith’s Album Reaches 400 Weeks on the Country Chart

The same compilation rises one space on the Top Country Albums chart this week, moving from No. 12 to No. 11 and nearly returning to the top 10. As it improves, 35 Biggest Hits reaches 400 weeks on the genre-specific ranking. That milestone is another first for Keith, who placed 26 projects on the Top Country Albums roster throughout his career.

Seven Toby Keith Albums Charted for 100 Weeks – Or More

Seven of Keith’s 26 appearances on the Top Country Albums chart have spent at least 100 weeks somewhere on the tally. Several of those projects finished with exactly 104 frames — two years — including Pull My Chain, Unleashed, Shock’n Y’all and How Do You Like Me Now?!

Greatest Hits 2 lasted even longer, racking up a total of 117 weeks on the ranking. That compilation missed out on becoming another No. 1 for Keith by only one space, as it stalled at No. 2.

Incredibly, another 10 Keith offerings celebrated at least a full year somewhere on the Top Country Albums roster. Throughout his lifetime, the country superstar racked up 10 No. 1 albums on the tally, but none has proved quite as stable as 35 Biggest Hits.
