Top Analyst Sets $60 XRP Target, but XRP Must Rally 158% First

XRP has received one of its most aggressive price targets of 2026, with prominent crypto analyst Ali Martinez arguing that a nearly decade-long chart structure could eventually propel the token toward $60.

There is a major catch.

Martinez said XRP must first secure a monthly close above $3.66, the resistance level capping what he describes as a massive ascending triangle stretching back almost a decade. Only then, in his analysis, would the technical target near $60 become active.

XRP currently trades around $1.42, meaning it would have to gain approximately 158% merely to reach Martinez’s breakout threshold. A move from today’s price to $60 would amount to more than 4,100%.

A $60 XRP Would Create a Nearly $3.8 Trillion Asset

The scale becomes clearer when the prediction is translated from percentage gains into market value.

XRP currently has approximately 62.74 billion tokens in circulation. At $60 per token, that same circulating supply would imply a market capitalization of roughly $3.76 trillion, versus about $89 billion around current prices.

That does not make the technical target impossible, but it illustrates how much capital appreciation Martinez’s scenario assumes.

He also gave no timetable for XRP reaching $60. The prediction is therefore a conditional long-term chart target, not a forecast that XRP will trade at $60 this year.

Interestingly, Martinez is not the first analyst to land around that number. An earlier Coinpaper analysis of EGRAG Crypto’s long-term “Big Yellow Triangle” mapped potential XRP outcomes ranging from $6.50 through $13 and $31 to $60.

XRP ETF Buyers Are Adding While Price Remains Far Below $3.66

What makes Martinez’s new prediction more interesting is that it arrives during an unusual divergence between XRP price performance and regulated investment demand.

U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded another $6.14 million of net inflows on Sept. 3, taking cumulative net inflows to roughly $1.68 billion.

That institutional trend has persisted even while XRP struggles around $1.40. An earlier 11-session run brought roughly $170 million into the products, including another $14.38 million on Sept. 1.

Institutional filings have also put Goldman Sachs at roughly $87.4 million of reported XRP ETF exposure, alongside positions from Jane Street and Millennium Management. That growing Wall Street ownership provides a more tangible bullish datapoint than the $60 chart target itself.

Meanwhile, XRP-linked products such as Amplify’s XRPM are widening XRP’s presence inside conventional U.S. fund infrastructure.

For now, however, Martinez’s enormous target remains several milestones away. XRP does not need to reach $60 to validate the first part of his thesis.

It needs to reach $3.66, and close a month above it first.
