After recovering from its summer decline, XRP is currently changing hands in the $1.35–$1.38 range as of September 11. This valuation places its market capitalization near $85 billion, securing its position as the fifth-largest digital asset by market cap, based on CoinGecko data.

Over the past week, the asset has climbed approximately 7%, while monthly gains exceed 30%. Despite this upward trajectory, today’s price retraction serves as a stark reminder that market volatility remains a constant factor.

A primary catalyst behind this recent upward momentum appears to be institutional capital. Through September 2, U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds logged 11 consecutive sessions with positive net inflows. Since their November debut, these funds have attracted approximately $1.68 billion in cumulative net inflows, according to CoinDesk citing data from SoSoValue.

At the conclusion of Q2, Goldman Sachs emerged as the largest publicly disclosed institutional holder of XRP-related funds, although these holdings may include hedging strategies.

Legal Resolution and Strategic Partnerships

August 2025 marked the conclusion of the extended legal confrontation between Ripple Labs and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Both parties withdrew their respective appeals, effectively cementing the prior court decision and Ripple’s $125 million financial penalty.

During July, Ripple obtained comprehensive MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) authorization in Luxembourg. This regulatory clearance enables the company to provide compliant cryptocurrency services throughout the entire European Economic Area.

The following month brought another significant development when Jeonbuk Bank in South Korea announced its adoption of Ripple Payments infrastructure for international money transfers, strengthening the network’s practical application portfolio.

Market analyst @XrpUdate shared an Elliott Wave technical assessment on X, projecting revised long-term price objectives of $14, $27, and $48 for XRP. These projections represent highly bullish long-range estimates that sit substantially above present trading levels.

Critical Technical Levels

From a technical perspective, the $1.30–$1.35 range represents the primary support zone worth monitoring. Above current levels, resistance clusters around $1.45–$1.50, an area that has capped XRP’s advances multiple times throughout 2026.

A decisive move past $1.50 would potentially unlock a rally toward $1.80, with $2.00 as the subsequent target. Conversely, failure to maintain $1.30 support could trigger a pullback toward the $1.10–$1.20 zone.

Looking ahead to year-end 2026, a reasonable expectation places XRP somewhere between $1.50 and $2.00, assuming ETF capital continues flowing and the broader cryptocurrency market maintains stability.

Should XRP reach $5, its market capitalization would approach approximately $315 billion. A $10 price point would translate to roughly $630 billion in market cap, calculated using the current circulating supply of about 63 billion tokens.

Among recent developments, the sustained momentum in ETF inflows represents the most significant institutional indicator for XRP performance throughout 2026.
