While rivals are burning cash at a historic pace, Apple is doing something different — and Wall Street is starting to notice.

Amazon and Alphabet are each planning to spend around $200 billion on AI infrastructure in 2026. Apple, by contrast, is choosing partnerships over spending.

Apple has teamed up with OpenAI, Nvidia, and Alphabet to power AI features across its devices. In China, it’s working with Alibaba and Baidu to deliver AI-powered services to that market.

The strategy keeps costs low while still giving customers access to cutting-edge AI capabilities. It’s a pragmatic play, and investors are rewarding it.

Concerns are also growing that the broader AI spending race could be inflating a bubble. That backdrop makes Apple’s disciplined approach look increasingly attractive.
