xAI Expands Grok Bot Access Across New Plans

xAI has expanded access to its Grok Bot, an AI-powered workflow automation tool, by including it in multiple subscription plans. As of August 21, Grok Bot is now available to users of SuperGrok Plus, Cursor Pro+, and all Cursor Teams plans. This move follows the tool’s beta release on August 11, which garnered positive feedback for its ease of use and advanced capabilities.

Grok Bot sets itself apart by acting as a persistent, AI-driven teammate capable of tackling full workflows across apps and tools. Unlike one-off chatbots, Grok Bot operates in the cloud with its own virtual machine, allowing it to sign into apps, manage files, and handle tasks from start to finish. Users interact with the Bot via a text-thread interface, enabling seamless collaboration without extensive setup.

The expanded access covers plans like SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and both Standard and Premium Cursor Teams subscriptions. This broader rollout positions Grok Bot as a key offering in xAI’s suite of AI products, targeting professionals and organizations seeking automated solutions for repetitive or complex workflows.

What Grok Bot Can Do

xAI highlights several use cases for Grok Bot, ranging from customer support to website building and even inbox management. For example, it can join meetings on a user’s behalf, take notes, and provide a summary. Other capabilities include managing email clutter, processing refunds, and even building and deploying websites complete with domain configuration.

Notably, Grok Bot allows for multiple Bots to collaborate in a group chat, passing tasks among themselves to complete multi-step processes without user intervention. This makes it a powerful tool for scaling workflows across teams and departments.

Market Context

The launch of Grok Bot aligns with xAI’s broader push into AI-driven automation, a market that continues to grow as businesses seek to improve efficiency. While Grok Bot targets professionals and enterprises, xAI’s broader AI ecosystem also includes the Grok assistant, available on platforms like iOS, Android, and X (formerly Twitter).

It’s worth noting that the GROK crypto token, an Ethereum-based asset inspired by xAI’s branding, remains unaffiliated with Elon Musk or his companies. As of August 21, the token is trading at $0.00040945 with a modest 0.5% daily increase, though it holds no direct connection to the Grok Bot or xAI’s operations.

What’s Next for Grok Bot

xAI continues to refine Grok Bot, with founder Elon Musk teasing upcoming updates. Grok 4.6 is reportedly set for release soon, with a more advanced Grok 5 planned before the end of the year. Enterprise users can join a waitlist as xAI prepares to scale Grok Bot access for larger organizations.

For those eager to test the platform, Grok Bot is available for immediate use. Users can assign tasks like sales prospecting, data organization, and customer support to see how it fits into their existing workflows. As AI tools like Grok Bot become increasingly sophisticated, their role in transforming professional environments is only set to grow.
