Ripple-promoted XRP could be gearing up for another move higher as Ripple CEO Bradley Garlinghouse presses U.S. lawmakers to back the CLARITY Act. Garlinghouse described the latest version of the legislation as a meaningful policy framework rather than a watered-down compromise.
His remarks followed comments from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who endorsed the bill’s final language, highlighting its potential to strengthen U.S. leadership in stablecoins while providing safeguards for community banks.
Why Ripple’s CEO Wants Senators to Back the CLARITY Act
In a Sept. 15 post on X, Garlinghouse described the latest CLARITY Act draft as more than a simple compromise. He noted that lawmakers had made significant adjustments to secure broader agreement on the legislation, urging senators to support the bill rather than hold out for a version that satisfies every demand.
“Perfect can’t be the enemy of good,” Garlinghouse said, stressing that the concessions made during negotiations were substantial and gave senators a strong reason to back the legislation.
The Senate is set to vote Tuesday on the CLARITY Act, a landmark crypto market-structure bill that, if approved, could pave the way for a significant wave of institutional capital into digital assets.
“The world is watching, and voters are watching. Now is the time to vote yes,” the Ripple chief executive stated.
Meanwhile, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has thrown his weight behind the CLARITY Act, arguing that the legislation could play a pivotal role in keeping the United States ahead in the global race for technological innovation. He described the bill as “essential” to ensuring America maintains its competitive edge as the digital asset industry continues to evolve.
XRP Eyes 107% Rally as CLARITY Act Fever Grips Crypto Market
With the Senate vote approaching, XRP traders are closely watching for a potential market reaction if the CLARITY Act advances. Analyst CasiTrades noted that XRP has spent several weeks consolidating beneath a major resistance zone while holding the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement level. That technical setup, according to the analyst, could leave the token with room for a stronger move to the upside.
The pundit sees XRP potentially climbing into the $1.74–$1.78 range in the short term. With the token currently trading near $1.40, a move to $1.78 would deliver a gain of roughly 27%.
However, the more ambitious targets on her chart point much higher, with $2.90 emerging as a potential longer-term objective. Reaching that level from $1.40 would represent a staggering 107% gain, meaning XRP would more than double from its current price.

However, CasiTrades warned that XRP could face “heavy resistance” if it pushes into the $1.74–$1.78 zone and holds there. Still, she believes a successful move into that range could complete a five-wave structure from the recent low, potentially strengthening the bullish technical setup.
