Prominent crypto analyst Zach Rector has tempered expectations for XRP in the final months of 2026, warning that political and economic uncertainties could limit the token’s near-term recovery.

In a recent commentary, Rector said he does not expect a major rally for XRP or the broader cryptocurrency market before the end of the year. He pointed to the upcoming US midterm elections, ongoing wars, and potential Federal Reserve interest rate hikes as key factors that could keep markets volatile.

Consequently, Rector believes XRP could struggle to regain higher price levels in the short term. At best, he expects the token to climb back above $3 by the end of 2026.

XRP Needs a 128% Rally to Reclaim $3

For context, XRP last traded around $3 in October 2025 before experiencing a significant decline. At its current price of $1.3147, XRP would need to rally by 128.19% to revisit the $3 mark.

Although Rector sees this recovery as possible, he does not anticipate an explosive rally in the immediate future. Instead, he expects continued volatility through the remainder of 2026 as political developments and monetary policy decisions influence investor sentiment.

Rector Predicts a Life-Changing XRP Cycle From 2027 to 2029

Despite his cautious short-term outlook, Rector remains more bullish on XRP’s long-term prospects. He described the 2027–2029 period as a potentially life-changing cycle and encouraged investors to remain engaged with the market.

Furthermore, he predicted that XRP could reach double-digit prices with relative ease during this period. Such a move would take the token above $10 easily.

However, Rector did not provide a specific price target, timeline, or detailed explanation of the catalysts that could drive such gains. Therefore, his projection remains a speculative market forecast rather than a guaranteed outcome.

In the meantime, his previous predictions have also attracted criticism from some XRP enthusiasts. Specifically, critics recalled his earlier assertion that XRP would never fall below $2 again, a forecast that subsequent price action has contradicted. Others pointed to his triple-digit XRP prediction for 2030, which would require the token to climb by 7,506% from its current price.

These past forecasts have prompted some community members to question the reliability of his long-term projections, even as he maintains an optimistic outlook for the coming years.

Ali Martinez Sees Potential for XRP to Rally to $2

Meanwhile, crypto analyst Ali Martinez has offered a more immediate bullish outlook, suggesting that XRP could be preparing for a recovery toward $2.

Martinez highlighted a sharp increase in the dollar value of transactions on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) when the token traded near the $1.25 support level. According to him, the value of coins transferred on-chain surged to $49.70 billion as XRP began to rebound.

The analyst interpreted this spike in on-chain activity around a critical support zone as a potential indication that XRP had established a price floor near $1.25. He added that the token could rally toward $2 as long as the support level holds.

From its current price of $1.3147, a 52.11% surge is needed to drive XRP’s price to $2. Although Martinez’s outlook suggests a possible near-term recovery, the support level must hold for the bullish scenario to remain viable.
