TLDR
- Zcash traded above $1,600 after gaining more than 70% over the past 30 days.
- Technical analysis places the next major resistance around $1,560-$1,615, with $1,800 inside the wider upside range.
- RookieXBT said on X that ZEC looks positioned for a move toward $1,800.
- 21Shares launched a physically backed Zcash ETP on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam.
- Grayscale’s U.S.-listed Zcash ETF also received a $100 million investment from Digital Currency Group earlier this month.
Zcash remained one of the stronger-performing major crypto assets in September after moving above $1,600. ZEC traded near $1,492 on September 22 after reaching an intraday high close to $1,569.

The token was still up more than 70% over 30 days. Earlier in September, ZEC traded near $953 before accelerating beyond $1,000, $1,250 and $1,500.
The move followed a bullish pennant breakout identified earlier in the month. The same pattern initially pointed toward $1,000 before later targets moved higher.
ZEC Tests Resistance Near $1,600
Immediate resistance sits around $1,560-$1,585. A daily close above roughly $1,582 would strengthen the case for another move higher.
Above that area, traders are watching $1,600-$1,615. Liquidation data also showed concentrated short liquidity near $1,605-$1,610.
If ZEC clears those levels, $1,700 becomes the next intermediate zone. The broader technical range then extends toward $1,800-$1,850.

Crypto trader RookieXBT said on X that ZEC “looks like” it is heading toward $1,800. His post reflects a technical view rather than a confirmed price outcome.
Momentum remains strong across several indicators. ZEC continues to trade well above its major short-, medium- and long-term moving averages.
RSI readings around 67-70 show momentum remains elevated. Other oscillators, including Stochastic and CCI, are also at high readings after the recent advance.
21Shares Launches European Zcash ETP
21Shares launched a physically backed Zcash ETP on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam. The product trades under ticker ZCASH and charges an annual fee of 2.5%.

The ETP gives brokerage investors exposure to ZEC without requiring them to hold the token directly. The underlying crypto is held through institutional custody arrangements.
The European launch follows Grayscale’s Zcash ETF debut on NYSE Arca in August. That fund provides direct exposure to ZEC through a U.S.-listed product.
Digital Currency Group invested about $100 million into the Grayscale product on September 8. DCG is Grayscale’s parent company, making it an affiliated investment.
21Shares also said the privacy-coin sector had expanded from about $6.2 billion to roughly $30 billion over one year. Its September research placed Zcash at around $20 billion in market value at the time.
As of September 23, ZEC remained above $1,500 after gaining more than 30% over seven days. The next technical tests remain the $1,585 and $1,615 areas before $1,700-$1,800 comes into view.
