Options activity also increased. Options volume climbed 120.5%, while options open interest rose 6.96% to $178.52 million.

On-chain data showed that more than 40 million SOL changed hands near $100. That makes the area an important cost basis for a large group of holders.

Liquidation data showed active leveraged trading during the move. The supplied figures reported about $103 million in short positions and $1.4 billion in long positions cleared.

A post from trader Ash Crypto highlighted SOL reaching $110 for the first time in seven months. The post described the move as positive for holders but did not provide additional price targets.

ETF assets reach $1.42 billion

Solana investment products also continued to hold large amounts of capital. ETF assets were valued at $1.42 billion as of September 17.

Cumulative inflows across the listed products stood at $1.37 billion, although daily flows were flat. Trading value totaled $50.95 million.

Bitwise’s BSOL accounted for $974.52 million in assets and had recorded $1.04 billion in cumulative inflows.

Regulatory developments were also part of the latest market move. New CFTC crypto market rules were sent to the White House for review following the Senate’s failure to advance the CLARITY Act.

Bull Theory highlighted the CFTC development in a post on X, saying the rules had been submitted to the White House shortly after the CLARITY Act stalled.

For now, SOL remains above the previous $110 resistance area, with $115 and $120 the next nearby levels identified in the supplied market data.
