Binance Blockchain 100 Awards Return in 2026 With Expanded Finance Creator Focus

Binance has launched the second edition of its Blockchain 100 Awards, expanding eligibility beyond cryptocurrency creators to include those covering traditional finance, according to an October 13, 2026 announcement on the Binance blog. Nominations opened the same day and are scheduled to run through October 16, with community voting planned for October 19–28 and winners to be announced October 29.

The awards program, which debuted in 2025, recognizes creators contributing to education, information sharing, and community development. The inaugural program was announced September 25, 2025, according to Binance’s Square platform, with winners revealed November 3, 2025, and honored at a ceremony during Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai on December 3, 2025.

Expanded Scope for 2026

The 2026 edition broadens the program’s scope to include creators focused on traditional finance topics alongside cryptocurrency content. The original seven categories—Industry Advocate, Independent Researcher, Trader, Community Builder, Video & Live Creator, Crypto Press, and Rising Star—were established in the first year, according to Binance’s September 2025 announcement.

Public nominations and voting by verified Binance users remain central to the selection process, mirroring the inaugural format. The awards ceremony is scheduled for November 29, 2026, during Binance Blockchain Week in Bangkok, according to the October 13 announcement.

Context and Timeline

The program forms part of Binance’s broader creator engagement strategy, which the company has positioned alongside its expansion into traditional financial products. Binance has introduced tokenized securities (bStocks), direct stock trading, and perpetual futures on ETFs and commodities in 2026, according to separate company blog posts.

The Blockchain 100 initiative also includes a year-round video interview series, per the October 13 announcement. Binance has not disclosed the number of nominations received in the first year, participation metrics, or criteria weighting between public votes and any internal review process.

The October 19–28 community voting window, October 29 winner announcement, and November 29 ceremony in Bangkok remain scheduled future events as of the October 13 announcement date.
