Bitcoin Tests $65K at Wall Street Open

Bitcoin held near $64,200 before Monday’s Wall Street open as traders watched semiconductors, ETF flows, and the $62,500 to $65,000 range.

Bitcoin is entering Monday’s Wall Street open with a tight range still intact. The crypto price held near $64,200 through the weekend after Friday’s selloff in stocks dragged sentiment lower.

Traders now want to see whether the bounce survives the first cash session of the week. The key question is simple: can BTC reclaim $65,000, or does the market revisit $62,500?

Bitcoin Price Holds Range Before Wall Street Open

BTC traded around $64,245 in pre-market hours, according to Ted Pillows’ Monday report on Substack. That leaves the asset inside a $62,500 to $65,000 band that held through the weekend.

ETH hovered near $1,872, while XRP sat close to $1.09. The weekend move came while U.S. equity markets were closed.

That matters because Friday’s selloff in the Nasdaq and semiconductors still sets the tone for Monday’s open. Ted Pillows said the morning session is the first real test of the rebound.

Fear and Greed also moved higher, rising to 28 from 25 on Sunday. That marks the first push out of extreme fear since the chip-led drop.

For crypto traders, the shift suggests the market has cooled, but it has not cleared the risk from stocks.

Semiconductors, Stocks, and Crypto Risk Appetite

Friday’s close still hangs over the session. The S&P 500 fell 1.01%, the Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.4%, and the Dow lost 0.77%.

The pressure came from semiconductors after TSMC’s capex guidance hit the market.

Gold also pushed to fresh highs near $4,017, adding another layer to the risk setup. Yields stayed flat over the weekend, with the 10-year near 4.55% and real yields near 2.31%.

That leaves the stock open as the main driver for today’s crypto price action.

Ted Pillows said BTC’s move has to be read through its Nasdaq link, not just its own chart. If chip stocks stabilize, Bitcoin gets room to move back toward $65,000.

If the selling resumes, the same link could pull BTC back toward the lower end of the range.

ETF Flows and Fed Blackout Keep Traders Cautious

ETF data still leans firm. Bitcoin funds posted four straight green sessions through Friday, led by IBIT

The final reported day added $132.3 million. Ethereum ETFs also flipped back to inflows on Friday after one red day.

Pillows also pointed to a Fed blackout ahead of the July 28 to 29 FOMC meeting. With no Fed speakers lined up to reset rate expectations, traders are left with stocks, flows, and positioning. Open interest stayed near $48.5 billion, while weekend liquidations remained light.

That mix leaves Bitcoin in a narrow spot. The range has held, but Monday’s open now decides whether the crypto market treats the weekend bounce as a real recovery or just thin-liquidity drift.

If BTC keeps support above $62,500, the next fight is $65,000. If the open turns red, the lower band gets tested again.
