A hacker stole tokens from three projects linked to decentralized artificial intelligence over the weekend of September 21, 2026, obtaining realized gains of approximately $2.25 million, according to a report by Bitquery.
The affected projects were Fetch.ai, NuNet, and SingularityNET, all members of the “Artificial Superintelligence Alliance” ecosystem.

The hacker stole 8.7 million FET tokens from the Fetch.ai bridge and minted 400 million NTX tokens from NuNet in a first strike. Hours later, the SingularityNET bridge was exploited, minting 900 million AGIX, 500 million WMTx from World Mobile Chain, and another 500 million CGV from Cogito.
The sale of the genuine FET tokens for 523 ETH —approximately $1.2 million— generated the largest share of the hacker’s gains. The 500 million minted CGV tokens returned barely $30 due to their extremely scarce liquidity.
Blockchain security auditor PeckShield estimated the hacker’s unrealized gains at nearly $17 million, given that the nominal value of the minted tokens was several times higher at the time of the theft.
Bitquery also detected a prior sweep of ETH and BNB from 16 wallets, four of them previously identified as belonging to personnel from SingularityNET or NuNet, indicating a deep penetration into the companies’ shared infrastructure. Additionally, $289,575 in USDC was stolen from a payroll contract.
The report warns that most of the compromised signing keys have not yet been replaced.
