Cardano (ADA) has regained momentum after large holders accumulated more than 240 million tokens in five days, driving a sharp recovery for the cryptocurrency.

According to data from onchain analytics platform Santiment, whales accumulated more than 240 million ADA over the past five days, increasing their combined holdings to approximately 14.5 billion ADA.

The increase in accumulation came as Cardano’s price surged 22%, suggesting that large investors used the rally to expand their positions.

Meanwhile, Cardano has maintained strong momentum in recent days, rebounding from around $0.16 to nearly $0.19 before experiencing a minor pullback. Despite losing some ground from its recent high, ADA has managed to preserve most of its recovery gains.

Notably, Cardano traded relatively flat Monday, holding near the $0.18 mark as investors balanced out following the recent surge. The token remains up more than 11% over the past seven days, making it one of the stronger performers among major cryptocurrencies during the recent recovery.

Despite the bullish on-chain picture, some short-term technical signals suggest the market may still face volatility.

Accordingly, analyst GainMuse noted that ADA recently confirmed a bearish wedge breakdown on the 30-minute chart after slipping toward the $0.180 region. According to the analysis, sellers gained control as volume increased during the breakdown.

The analyst identified $0.1808 as an important level that bulls need to reclaim to invalidate the bearish structure. Failure to do so could trigger a deeper pullback toward the $0.1747 zone, with stronger support near $0.1719 and $0.1663.

Elsewhere, analyst Crypto Patel argued that ADA may be entering a higher-timeframe accumulation phase after one of the deepest corrections in its history. The token remains well below its 2021 all-time high, but the analyst believes it has returned to a historical demand zone where long-term investors previously built positions ahead of a major rally.

The analyst highlighted the $0.15-$0.086 area as a key institutional accumulation range and said a move above $0.2887 would strengthen the bullish structure, while a break above $0.50 would offer stronger confirmation of a macro trend reversal.

Additionally, he pointed to several longer-term catalysts, including discussions around a potential spot ADA ETF, the Leios scaling upgrade, growth within the Midnight ecosystem, and the fact that a large portion of ADA’s circulating supply remains staked.

At press time, ADA was trading at $0.1931, reflecting a 1.88% upsurge over the past 24 hours.
