Grayscale’s Zcash ETF recorded a $46.6 million net inflow on September 17, its second-largest daily intake since ZCSH began trading on NYSE Arca on August 25.
The fund has added roughly $60.5 million this week, extending a rapid accumulation phase less than a month after its public-market debut. Grayscale had already reported more than $500 million in assets by September 8, when cumulative post-launch inflows exceeded $70 million alongside a separate $100 million investment from DCG International Investments.
ZEC has risen alongside that demand. The privacy coin traded near $1,550 on September 19 after reaching a 24-hour high above $1,580, up roughly 178% over the past month.
ZCSH Demand Accelerates Less Than a Month After Launch
The Zcash ETF began trading on NYSE Arca on August 25 after Grayscale converted its long-running Zcash Trust into an exchange-traded product. Its SEC prospectus establishes a straightforward structure in which the fund holds ZEC and seeks to reflect the value of those holdings after expenses.
Grayscale is already preparing a 3-for-1 share split. Investors holding ZCSH at the September 28 market close will receive two additional shares for every share owned, with split-adjusted trading scheduled to begin September 30.
The fund’s expansion has developed alongside other sources of ZEC demand. Kamino recently introduced ZEC-backed borrowing, allowing holders to use the asset as collateral for USDC loans on Solana.
ZEC Has Climbed More Than 500% From June Low
Zcash traded near $258 during its June selloff before rebounding toward $470 within days. That early recovery produced an 84% move from the low as traders repositioned around the Ironwood network upgrade.
The rally accelerated again in August. ZEC pushed through $788 as Grayscale moved its ETF registration forward and institutional interest in Zcash mining increased.
At roughly $1,550 today, ZEC has gained about 500% from the $258 June low. Its circulating market capitalization has climbed above $26 billion, with approximately 16.87 million ZEC currently in circulation.
The speed of the move also raises the cost of maintaining momentum. ZEC has advanced from below $500 to more than $1,500 in roughly three months, leaving recent buyers exposed to larger percentage swings if ETF flows slow or leveraged positions unwind.
Can ZEC Reach $2,000?
A move from $1,550 to $2,000 requires another gain of roughly 29%, significantly smaller than the advance ZEC has already produced since June.
The immediate hurdle sits around $1,580 to $1,600. A clean break above that range with sustained spot volume would move ZEC back into price discovery for the current cycle, with $1,750 and $1,800 forming the next obvious psychological areas before $2,000.
At current circulating supply, a $2,000 ZEC price would imply a market capitalization near $33.7 billion. Continued ZCSH creations would add another source of spot demand if authorized participants need additional ZEC to create new fund shares.
The downside level is now around $1,400. Holding that area would keep the September breakout intact, while a loss of $1,400 could expose the $1,250 to $1,300 zone after a rally that has already added more than 500% from June.
A sustained move through $1,600, continued ETF inflows and strong spot volume would put $2,000 within roughly 29% of the current market. A reversal in fund flows or a break below $1,400 would weaken that setup before another attempt.
