Polkadot has opened its Products Devnet today, a specialized space for developers to prototype and publicly share decentralized Products as static web applications. This campaign encourages devs to step outside of generic tool usage and come up with very tailored, intimate, or even industrial-level usage possibilities that might end up being extremely valuable.
What the Devnet Offers
A web app running inside the Polkadot host is termed as a Product. The Devnet is revealing a total of three specialized chains: the contracts and assets.dot naming can be found in Asset Hub; People is devoted to identity and personhood; Bulletin is for hosting Product bundles.
Developers make use of React and @parity/product-sdk to create, then register their.dot domain, and finally release via the pad CLI.

Reasons why Developers and Ecosystems are Expected to Pay Attention
Parity and the Polkadot Community Foundation are key architects responsible for providing the SDK, DotNS, and Bulletin infrastructure. The model has managed to reduce UX of blockchain friction while also maintaining verifiability.
Apart from developers who can take advantage of it by using feeless hosting and having composable identities, it also indicates that Polkadot 2.0 has undergone a change in its direction that is now targeting consumers, and in which the parachain auctions have taken the background.

The first apps that used such reference tools were, for example, marketplaces such as Mercado and localdot, surveys, and on-chain forums. These applications showed the potential of industrial marketplaces analytics, and educational applications that the ecosystem can offer.

Devnet is the key area in face of rivalry between Ethereum L2s andSolara consumer applications. What we will see tomorrow mainly depends on the maturity of tools, mainnet migration, and developer adoption while Polkadot continues to monitor and improve its product range.
