  • On-chain analyst EmberCN linked the transfers to scheduled monthly token releases involving team and early investor allocations.
  • PUMP declined roughly 12% over 24 hours as the latest transfers attracted market attention.
  • Coinbase Prime deposits do not confirm immediate selling, as institutional clients also use the platform for custody.
  • Pump.fun team and investor token unlocks will continue through 2029, introducing additional tokens into circulation.

Three Pump.fun team or early investor wallets transferred 1.458 billion PUMP to Coinbase Prime on October 13. Analyst EmberCN valued the deposits at $7.58 million and identified them as October’s scheduled token release.

Pump.fun Wallets Send Monthly Release

EmberCN identified three Solana addresses behind the transfers. The wallets share a 70 billion PUMP allocation, which began unlocking in July 2026. Their latest deposits represent this month’s scheduled release, not an additional unexpected allocation.

The analyst did not publicly identify a completed sale or disclose future trading plans. Coinbase Prime provides institutional custody and trading services. Separately, U.S. government Bitcoin transfers to Coinbase Prime drew attention on October 7 without confirming a sale.

Vesting Schedule Extends Through 2029

Pump.fun launched PUMP in July 2025 with a maximum supply of one trillion tokens. Its distribution reserves 20% for the team and 13% for existing investors. Both allocations faced a 12-month lockup before later releases, according to Tokenomics.com.

That tracker lists an initial release after the lockup, followed by 36 months of vesting. Platforms calculate unlock totals differently. July’s first major release affected numerous team and investor wallets, while future distributions continue through 2029.

Coinbase Prime Deposit Does Not Confirm Sale

Coinbase Prime serves institutional customers, not only retail traders. Coinbase also described expanded institutional trading access in an October 7 update. Services include derivatives alongside custody and execution, but the PUMP transfers cannot establish the recipients’ plans.

Transfers to trading platforms can precede selling, storage or movement between accounts. No public transaction record cited by EmberCN proves these deposits resulted in market sales. The 1.458 billion tokens represent only part of the broader team and investor release schedule.

PUMP Price Falls as Buybacks Continue

PUMP traded near $0.005 on October 13, down roughly 12% to 14% over 24 hours. Bybit placed its market capitalization near $2.35 billion during the period. Other meme coins also weakened, including recent Dogecoin spot outflows. Pump.fun continues buying and burning PUMP using platform revenue. Its official dashboard recorded 204.5 million tokens burned on October 12, using about $1.14 million.
