With this deal, there will be increased exposure for SBI Holdings in Indonesia, which is among the biggest and fastest-growing digital economies in the region. SBI Group is also seeking to position itself in the digital assets space as demand for cryptocurrencies increases.

Ajaib Targets Indonesia’s Young Investors

By offering the provision of both stocks and mutual funds on its online platform, Ajaib has established itself in Indonesia. This has been made possible due to the popularity of its services among the younger generation that likes to manage their investments via applications.

The demand for cryptocurrencies and other digital finances has been increasing in Indonesia. It is partly because of the increasing transaction volumes and a young demographic that is technology-oriented.

For SBI Group, the deal presents a chance for them to take advantage of this increasing demand while establishing themselves more firmly in the Indonesian investment market.

Deal Supports Indonesia’s Digital Finance Growth

Indonesia has been striving to build up its financial services industry and attract foreign investments, with Jakarta and Bali being key players in the plan.

The transaction will enable Ajaib to further develop their services while providing SBI Holdings with increased access to a broad base of customers in Indonesia.

In addition, it showcases an emerging trend in the convergence of traditional financial institutions, online investing platforms, and the digital assets industry.

Through this strategic move, SBI Group will be able to capitalize on the growing digital economy of Indonesia as well as help Ajaib grow to the next level. This strategic move comes within the framework of the overall strategic plan for the Japanese company.
