SpaceXAI launches Grok 4.5, a 1.5T parameter AI model optimized for coding and enterprise tasks, priced aggressively to challenge rivals like GPT-5.5.

SpaceXAI Unveils Grok 4.5, Its Most Advanced Coding AI Yet

SpaceXAI, the AI arm of Elon Musk’s ventures, has officially launched Grok 4.5, its most advanced large language model to date. Designed specifically for coding, agentic tasks, and enterprise knowledge work, the 1.5 trillion-parameter model is a significant leap over its predecessors and positions SpaceXAI as a serious competitor in the AI-for-enterprise sector.

Grok 4.5 builds on SpaceXAI’s V9 foundation model and incorporates training data from Cursor, a coding-focused AI startup acquired by SpaceXAI earlier this year. According to the company, the model delivers “intelligent and efficient reasoning” with notable performance improvements on technical benchmarks like SWE Bench Pro, where it scored a 64.7% resolve rate, outpacing GPT-5.5’s 58.6%.

In addition to raw performance, Grok 4.5 focuses on efficiency. SpaceXAI claims the model operates at 80 transactions per second (TPS) and offers twice the token efficiency of leading competitors, reducing costs for enterprise users. Pricing is set aggressively, at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens, undercutting rivals like OpenAI’s GPT product line.

High-Performance Enterprise AI

The model’s launch follows a private beta phase at SpaceX and Tesla, where Grok 4.5 was reportedly tested extensively. Unlike earlier iterations, this version has been fine-tuned for practical engineering tasks and enterprise-level knowledge work, with reinforcement learning spanning hundreds of thousands of multi-step tasks.

SpaceXAI has also emphasized the model’s coding capabilities, showcasing examples where Grok 4.5 tackled complex Rust and C++ challenges and built fully functional apps from a single prompt. These examples underline its potential to disrupt workflows in software engineering and beyond.

Notably, Grok 4.5 has already earned a top spot on Harvey’s Legal Agent Benchmark, adding credibility to its suitability for high-stakes enterprise applications. Despite these advances, the model does not claim to outperform the largest frontier AI models like GPT-5.5 across all tasks, though it appears competitive in its focused domains.

Market Context and Speculative Token Activity

The launch of Grok 4.5 arrives as OpenAI prepares to release GPT-5.6, setting up a direct battle for enterprise customers. SpaceXAI’s aggressive pricing strategy and targeted use cases suggest it aims to carve out a niche rather than compete head-to-head on general-purpose AI.

Meanwhile, a cryptocurrency token branded “GROK 4.5” (ticker: GROK4.5) has been trading on exchanges like OKX, with recent data (June 28, 2026) showing a price of $0.00010594 and a market cap of $105.94K. Importantly, there is no verified connection between this token and SpaceXAI, raising questions about its legitimacy.

For traders, the token’s dramatic 386.14% price surge in 24 hours highlights speculative interest, likely fueled by the AI model’s buzz. However, the lack of official affiliation should be a red flag for cautious investors.

What’s Next?

Elon Musk confirmed that Grok 4.5 would be available to the public starting July 9, 2026. As adoption begins, the model’s real-world performance will be closely scrutinized, particularly in enterprise settings where cost and efficiency are critical factors.

With competition heating up in the AI space, Grok 4.5’s launch could signal a shift in how enterprises approach AI-driven tasks. However, for traders eyeing the GROK4.5 token, the lack of official ties to SpaceXAI should serve as a cautionary reminder to separate hype from substance.
