The latest selling price is roughly 15% less than the average cost incurred by Strategy for purchasing its Bitcoin stock. In other words, this batch of Bitcoin was sold by Strategy at a price significantly lower than its average buying price.

Strategy Sells 3,328 BTC in Two Weeks
This new sale of Bitcoin by Strategy is just one week after it sold a large number of its coins.
From July 27 to August 2, the company has disposed of 1,638 BTC worth $104.7 million at an average selling price of $63,957 per Bitcoin.
All in all, these two events have enabled the company to sell a total of 3,328 BTC worth $213.3 million within just two weeks.
The two events are significant in the sense that Strategy has been known to increase its Bitcoin reserves through frequent purchases. Now, the company has resorted to selling its Bitcoins whenever it requires funds for other operations.
Strategy’s Bitcoin Sales Continue
The recent sales come after Strategy’s disposal of two large amounts of Bitcoin at the end of June and early July.
Strategy sold 1,363 BTC for about $80.8 million from June 29 to June 30. The firm also disposed of another 2,225 BTC for $135.2 million from July 1 to July 5.
Through the two sales above, Strategy has disposed of 3,588 BTC for about $216 million.
Combining the above sales with the recent sales gives a total of 6,916 BTC sold by Strategy for about $429.3 million in four major sales since late June.
Strategy Moves Beyond a Bitcoin-Only Accumulation Approach
The latest strategy in selling Bitcoin is quite a shift from its previous strategy, where it was all about acquiring more BTC in its corporate coffers.
This company has been raising money for itself through various financial instruments in order to buy more Bitcoins. However, its new strategies have widened this horizon, where it can also sell Bitcoin for other purposes.
The strategy that sells Bitcoin holds an average of higher purchase costs in relation to the present selling prices. Despite the foregoing, the firm still holds a large amount of Bitcoin reserves, and thus, it can be inferred that the recent selling amounts are just a small proportion of the total reserves that the firm possesses.
The future sales will most likely still matter to the market in light of the effect of the firm’s trading on its corporate Bitcoin reserves.
