TLDR

  • DOGE trades near $0.0835 while forming a falling wedge pattern on the 1-hour chart.
  • The $0.110–$0.120 zone is the resistance level traders are watching for a breakout.
  • Analyst Crypto With Gopal has flagged $0.150 as a possible target if the wedge breaks upward.
  • Open interest rose 1.92% to $1.27 billion even as trading volume dropped 3.10%.
  • The $0.080 support level is seen as key to keeping the bullish setup alive.

Dogecoin is currently trading around $0.0835. The coin’s short-term chart is shaping into a falling wedge, a pattern some traders read as an early sign of a possible reversal.

The wedge has formed with narrowing trendlines. Price is compressing between support near $0.100 and a resistance band between $0.110 and $0.120.

Crypto analyst Crypto With Gopal posted the setup on X, marking the wedge on the 1-hour chart. In the post, the analyst pointed to $0.100 as the key level to watch and said a confirmed break above $0.110–$0.120 could open the door toward $0.150.

That resistance zone is the first hurdle. A close above it would be needed before the breakout case gains more weight.

If DOGE clears that zone, the projected target sits near $0.150. That would mark a sizable move from current levels.

On the downside, $0.080 is the level traders are watching. A break below it could weaken the current bullish structure and open room for further decline.

Momentum Indicators Show Mixed Signals

DOGE spent July and August consolidating near $0.07000, with Bollinger Bands tightening during that stretch. A breakout in mid-August pushed price toward $0.10000.

That rally then stalled. Price pulled back to around $0.08449 as resistance held firm.

DOGE is now trading below its 20-day Simple Moving Average, which sits near $0.08589. The lower Bollinger Band is positioned close to $0.08003.

The MACD line has crossed below its signal line, and the histogram has turned negative. This suggests sellers still hold some short-term control despite the wedge pattern forming.

Derivatives Data Points to Elevated Positioning

Coinglass data shows 24-hour trading volume fell 3.10% to about $710.71 million. Open interest, meanwhile, rose 1.92% to roughly $1.27 billion.

Falling volume alongside rising open interest suggests traders are holding leveraged positions rather than closing them out. This kind of setup can lead to sharper price swings once a breakout or breakdown occurs.

Separate data from Dogegod put open interest at about 16.38 billion DOGE, valued near $1.5 billion. That level of positioning means a breakout could trigger fast moves in either direction.

For now, DOGE remains between the $0.080 support and $0.110–$0.120 resistance. Traders are watching both levels for the next directional signal.
