When the altcoin market’s Open Interest comes to within a few percentage points of Bitcoin’s [BTC], the altcoin market can be considered overextended. As it stands though, these conditions are far from being met.

Now, some of the market’s most popular leading alts, Solana [SOL], Cardano [ADA], and Ripple [XRP], have had bullish runs in recent weeks. Which of them has the potential for the best returns for the rest of September?

All three alts showcase a bullish structure

Solana’s daily structure was flipped bullishly when the $98.41-swing level was breached. In recent weeks, SOL saw rejection from the $110-resistance area and briefly fell below $100.

The bulls were able to defend the $95-$100 demand zone and drove prices higher. The next resistance to watch is at $119.6, a former support turned resistance from late 2025.

Cardano has also been on a bullish run since its structure shift in July. The altcoin has set a series of higher highs since then. The retracement earlier this week saw ADA retest the $0.19-support level.

The reaction from there has been encouraging though, and Cardano may be primed to challenge the $0.23 and $0.255 resistance levels.

Like the other two, XRP also had a bullish structure at press time. Unlike the other two though, XRP was pushing into a long-term supply zone that has repeatedly driven the bulls back.

For this reason, it is possible that XRP would struggle to be the most bullish token among the three for the rest of the month.

Is Solana’s run done?

Solana has recorded the highest returns since Wednesday, around 16%, compared to 14% and 11% for Cardano and XRP. Additionally, only Solana has managed to breach the highs set towards the end of August, when Bitcoin began to pull back and dragged the altcoin market down with it.

This seemed to indicate that XRP and ADA have room to catch up to SOL, making them likely to return greater profits this month. And yet, it is Solana that has proven bullish momentum by making new local highs.

Therefore, so long as Bitcoin does not suffer a steep pullback, the leading altcoin among the trio, SOL, is likely to continue to register better returns.

Final Summary

  • Altcoin market leverage was relatively low compared to BTC’s Open Interest, indicating that altcoins still have room to make gains.
  • Among Solana, Cardano, and XRP, SOL appeared the most likely to continue its strong bullish momentum.
