What’s Happening to Aave’s Lending

Aave’s role in crypto lending has continued to expand across the market. According to the analyst’s data, the DeFi lending protocol now holds a significant 47.8% share of active on-chain loans, reflecting rising user confidence in the platform as a growing customer base appears to take out enormous loans through the network.

According to DeFiLlama data, active loans across various DeFi lending protocols currently stand at $23 billion, representing the amount of loans issued to customers through their respective on-chain lending platforms. The current standing of $23 billion in active loans marks a massive figure that exceeds previous records noted in January, early this year, and September 2025, showcasing a substantial increase in client interest in the on-chain lending market.

This growth is associated with the rising number of customers participating in DeFi protocols, with Aave becoming an increasingly trusted platform. Among all on-chain lending platforms listed by DeFiLlama, Aave leads in loans issued to customers, currently holding 47.8% of the $23 billion in active loans. The latest Aave market share has surpassed previous levels, underscoring its growing popularity as the protocol continues to unlock lending utilities that benefit institutional and retail participants. Other popular on-chain lending platforms include Morpho, which holds 18.5% of active loans; SparkLend comes third at 8.1%, while Fluid Lending and Maple Finance occupy fourth and fifth positions at 6.9% and 5.5%, respectively, as illustrated in the analyst’s data.

AAVE Token Jumps, Supported Increased Borrowing

Recently, AAVE has been outperforming much of the larger crypto market, as indicated by its 2.1% and 11.2% price jumps made over the past week and month, respectively, showing its strengthening momentum. Part of the catalysts behind these noticeable surges is the increasing number of users interacting with its offerings, including loans (as highlighted above) and others.

The token has extended its upturn movement over the past month, sustained by USDT deposits moving into the Aave ecosystem and rising customer activity on its lending protocol. An increasing customer base is taking advantage of the protocol’s borrowing offerings and yield opportunities, which reveals a bullish outlook for the ecosystem and the native AAVE token. Technical data show the token’s uptrend structure appears firm, supported by a surging on-chain lending sector, with borrowing demand remaining consistently high.
