Long XRP coin liquidations and rising balances on exchanges have piled fresh selling pressure onto an already fragile technical picture. After failing to hold higher ground earlier in the week, the token has settled into a tight band between roughly $1.26 and $1.32.

Bitcoin (BTC) is laboring near $80,000 while several large altcoins are posting weekly losses. XRP’s drop stands out because earlier hopeful signals, spot ETF activity and steady wallet growth, have yet to translate into lasting strength in the spot market.

Exchange flows and leverage clear-outs add heat
On-chain data show roughly 6.05 billion XRP moving onto exchanges over the past 30 days, the heaviest inflow reading in seven months. Binance just captured a large slice of those deposits while the number of crypto whale wallets dropped super dramatically.
Tokens heading to exchanges can signal potential sales, though the move does not guarantee immediate dumping.
Across the broader market, leveraged longs have been forced out in size, amplifying downside swings. XRP briefly dipped under $1.29 during the flush before a modest bounce.
Daily XRP price liquidations have ranged from a few million dollars to higher totals on heavier sessions, with longs making up the clear majority of the wipeouts. Market-wide liquidations have reached hundreds of millions on some days.
Technical picture stays cautious for XRP’s price
RSI and MACD remain weak, so traders are treating the $1.30 zone more as a near-term pivot than confirmed support. A clean XRP price break below $1.26 would open the door to deeper leveraged market losses if sellers keep control.

Analyst ChartNerdTA flagged a daily 20/50 EMA death cross that printed on October 19. In a post on October 26 the analyst noted that the last time XRP printed a similar signal it was followed by a roughly 30 percent decline.
Price has since rejected those moving averages. ChartNerdTA said a comparable drop would push XRP back toward or even under the $1.00 area, framing the call as historical context rather than a crash prediction.
The view lines up with other commentary pointing to a large cluster of leveraged positions near $0.97 that could come into play if the sell-off accelerates.
ChartNerdTA still holds a longer-term bullish case, previously sketching targets in the 5–8 range over a multi-year horizon if structure holds and liquidity improves.
That outlook does not rule out more near-term pain while XRP sits well below prior cycle highs and sentiment stays soft.
ETF inflows, wallet growth offer a counterweight
U.S. spot XRP ETFs have drawn cumulative net inflows near $1.8 billion since their November 2025 launch, with recent net assets around $1.5 billion.
Daily flows have been modest lately, including some flat or lightly positive sessions after earlier October outflows. On-chain trackers also show the XRP Ledger hitting record wallet counts with continued daily growth.
Interest has not disappeared. Still, the market is first watching whether the $1.28 – $1.29 lower boundary floor holds and whether exchange inflows ease.

Until price stabilizes and leverage is cleared, institutional-demand stories are unlikely to fully offset near-term selling.
XRP’s current price remains far below its July 2025 high near $3.65 and its January 2026 peak around $2.41, leaving it sensitive to further weakness or any sudden shift in momentum.
